What is Adorabilia handmade jewelry made of?

Adorabilia handmade jewelry is usually made from Polymer Clay, Resin or a combination of the two.

Each product listing will have exactly what materials went into making that particular piece. There are some pieces that are only made from polymer clay, there are some that are only made from resin, and some that are made from polymer clay and resin.

Most jewelry on the Adorabilia Handmade Jewelry website have metal findings (earring hooks, stud backings, ring bases, etc.) but that is not always the case. For example our resin rings and polymer clay rings have no metal and are great jewelry options for people with metal allergies.

Our newest and upcoming jewelry collections will have Stainless Steel metal findings, so they are also suitable jewelry options for people with metal allergies.

As most people with metal allergies are usually allergic to Nickel, Zinc, Copper and other such metals and alloys, Stainless Steel is a stable and non reactive alloy that is usually a safe bet.

This is why we are hoping to switch over to Stainless Steel for all future jewelry collections.

Now back to the two main materials used in Adorabilia Handmade Jewelry. Polymer clay and Resin. Is polymer clay toxic? Is resin toxic??

No, absolutely not. The jewelry that comes to you is fully cured and baked, it is non reactive and safe for skin contact.

I personally have mildly sensitive skin and have to test out any make up and skin care before i can use it. But i have been wearing my Adorabilia jewelry for years and have faced no issues.

If you have highly sensitive skin, it is always best to test on your skin before hand, do check if we have an upcoming event in your city where you can see and feel the jewelry in person before buying it.

We hope you have a better understanding of the materials used in Adorabilia handmade jewelry and feel free to email us about any specific queries you might have!
